What Mindfulness is and How to Practice 14:45

Modern mindfulness focuses on training the mind to reside in the present moment using an anchor for the attention. It is in the present moment that we find the peace, space and calmness that we seek.

This video will discuss how to train the mind into spacious awareness with patience and kindness for your own busy state of mind. We don't seek to have less thoughts with mindfulness, or just positive thoughts...instead we learn to become the observer of our thoughts as they arise and pass away. Once we learn to observe our thoughts and still our tendency to react to them, we find the busyness of the mind starts to subside. This is our mindfulness practice.
